Setting up Books in Belgium
Integrating your Books in Belgium account with StoreLinkr only requires a single API key. This guide walks you through getting that key and connecting your account.
1. Get Your API Key from Books in Belgium
- Open the Books in Belgium website and log in.
- Click on My account and Settings in the top right corner.
- Expand the services panel and click on API Settings.
- Copy the API key to your clipboard.
2. Connect to StoreLinkr Portal
With your API key ready, finish the connection in StoreLinkr:
- Log in to your StoreLinkr Portal.
- Navigate to Sales Channels -> Marketplaces.
- Click Connect a marketplace.
- Select Books in Belgium in the "Select a platform" modal and click Continue.
- Paste your API Key into the field.
- Choose the Product Selection and Pricelist that determine which of your products are offered and at what price.
- Click Save & Test Connection.
StoreLinkr will validate the API key before finalizing the connection.
3. Map Your Categories
Books in Belgium uses an extensive, multi-level category tree — fiction, non-fiction, children's & youth books, school & study, comics, magazines, and more. Before StoreLinkr can export a product, its category must be mapped to one of these.
- Navigate to your Books in Belgium integration and check the Improvements panel — StoreLinkr flags how many of your categories are still unmapped.
- Follow the Marketplace Categories guide to map each of your StoreLinkr categories to the matching Books in Belgium category.
- Products in unmapped categories will not be exported until a mapping exists.
The ISBN sent to Books in Belgium is taken directly from each product's EAN field, so make sure that field holds a valid ISBN. Only open orders (not yet shipped or completed) are imported — Books in Belgium's own historical order data isn't pulled in.
