CycleSoftware import settings

When you add CycleSoftware as an import source, the import task has a few optional settings. You can change them at any time from the CycleSoftware import task in your StoreLinkr portal; each change applies to the next import run.

Automatically map used products into the used category​

By default, used (second-hand) products keep the same categories as new products. Enable Automatically map used products into the used category to give every used product its own category, so you can present your second-hand range separately in your webshop.

When enabled, for each used product StoreLinkr:

  • replaces the main category with Tweedehands, and
  • keeps the sub categories but prefixes each level with Tweedehands so the names stay unique and never collide with your new products.

For example, a used bicycle in Fietsen > Mountainbikes is imported as Tweedehands > Tweedehands Mountainbikes. A new bicycle in the same category stays in Fietsen > Mountainbikes.

This setting only affects products CycleSoftware marks as used. New products are never touched.

Let the source fully manage the sales price​

If you set all your sales prices (including markdowns) in CycleSoftware, enable Let the source fully manage the sales price. With this setting on, every import clears any manual "custom sales price" override in StoreLinkr, so the CycleSoftware price always wins on your portal and on every export.

Why this exists: a custom sales price in StoreLinkr is a deliberate, user-owned override that normally survives imports untouched. That is the right behaviour when you set prices in StoreLinkr, but it also means that once a custom price exists (set by hand, from an accepted price suggestion, or by the bulk rounding tool) it keeps overriding the price coming from CycleSoftware, even after you change or mark down the price there. Shops that manage everything in CycleSoftware then keep seeing an old, stale price on their webshop.

When enabled, for each imported product StoreLinkr:

  • clears the custom sales price on the product and on every price list, and
  • uses the CycleSoftware sales price (or promo price) as the sales price everywhere.

Only enable this when CycleSoftware is the single source of truth for your prices. While it is on, any price you set by hand in StoreLinkr (or accept as a price suggestion) is removed again on the next import. Leave it off if you deliberately override CycleSoftware prices in StoreLinkr.

This clears the same field as the Reset Custom Sales Prices tool in the Danger Zone, but it keeps doing so automatically on every import instead of as a one-off cleanup.

Other import settings​

  • Import the advised price: also import the manufacturer's advised price (adviesprijs) alongside the sales price. This lets your webshop show a strikethrough "from" price when your sales price is lower.
  • Add supplier stock to store stock: count stock that is available at your supplier on top of your own store stock, so a product stays orderable while a delivery is on its way.
