Setting up Pendlr (Kruitbosch)

Pendlr doesn't offer self-service API credentials; you request them from your Pendlr (Kruitbosch) account manager. Importing products and exporting orders are set up as two separate connections in StoreLinkr, so you may need to go through the connection form twice.

1. Get Your Pendlr Credentials​

Contact your Pendlr account manager and request:

  • Username
  • Password
  • Customer number

Keep these three values on hand; you'll need them for both connections below. Existing Kruitbosch credentials keep working.

2. Import Products, Categories & Stock​

This connection brings Pendlr's catalog into your PIM.

  1. Log in to your StoreLinkr Portal.
  2. Navigate to Catalog -> Products.
  3. Click Add import source.
  4. Select Pendlr (Kruitbosch) and enter your Username, Password and Customer number.
  5. Save and test the connection.

Because Pendlr's catalog is very large (more than 22,000 products), StoreLinkr requires you to choose which categories to import before any products come in.

  1. Navigate to Catalog -> Categories -> Import Filters.
  2. Scan Pendlr's categories, then switch on the ones you actually want to sell. Switching on a main category, such as Accessoires, also switches on all its subcategories.
  3. StoreLinkr only imports products from the categories you switched on, along with their stock levels and your net purchase prices. Categories that appear later start switched off, so new ranges never come in unnoticed.

What gets imported​

  • Product data: name, description, EAN, brand, recommended sales price, net purchase price and VAT rate.
  • Categories: Pendlr's category tree, up to three levels deep (for example Accessoires > Sloten > Beugelsloten). A small number of products have no category at Pendlr; they appear as a separate entry without a category in the import filters.
  • Properties: the product attributes Pendlr provides, such as colour, material, size, weight and the bike types a part fits.
  • Images: the main image and any additional images. Pendlr's "no image" placeholder is skipped.
  • Stock: Pendlr reports availability rather than exact quantities when stock is sufficient:

Language

Pendlr supplies all product content in Dutch: names, descriptions, categories and properties. If you sell in other languages, translate the content in StoreLinkr.

Good to know

The recommended sales price Pendlr provides is calculated per single piece, while your purchase price may be quoted per packaging unit (e.g. a box of several pieces). It's normal for the recommended sales price to look lower than your purchase price at first glance. Check your Purchasing Advice for accurate, unit-corrected margins.

3. Export Orders as Dropshipments​

This second connection is what makes dropshipping possible: when one of your customers orders a product you source from Pendlr, StoreLinkr forwards that order to Pendlr, who ship it directly to your customer.

  1. Navigate to Orders (your sales orders overview).
  2. Click Export Orders.
  3. Select Pendlr (Kruitbosch) and enter the same Username, Password and Customer number.
  4. Save the connection.

Once connected, every new order with products you import from Pendlr is created at Pendlr as a dropshipment to your customer, with their delivery address and email address. Products in the order that don't come from Pendlr are left out, so you fulfil those yourself.

  • Delivery: Pendlr ships with DHL, only within the EU. An order for an address outside the EU is not sent and shows an error.
  • Out of stock: Pendlr cancels the whole order when one of its products can't be delivered. The order then shows an error with the product that was rejected; remove it and send the order again.
  • Bikes and discontinued products: Pendlr only dropships parts and accessories. StoreLinkr checks every product with Pendlr before sending the order: bikes and products Pendlr no longer supplies are held back, and the rest of the order is still sent. Ship the held-back products yourself.
  • Status per product: open the order under Orders to see per product whether it was sent to Pendlr (Sent) or not (Not sent, with the reason). When a product was not sent, a warning at the top of the order tells you how many products need your attention.
  • Track & trace: StoreLinkr regularly checks Pendlr for shipments and adds the carrier and track & trace link to the order as soon as Pendlr ships it.

Your own order history with Pendlr (orders you've placed with them in the past) isn't imported into StoreLinkr. This connection only forwards your customers' orders to them and retrieves shipment tracking.
