Troubleshooting: Product Not Appearing in Shopify
If a product is present in StoreLinkr but does not appear in your Shopify webshop, there could be several reasons. Follow this checklist to identify and resolve the issue.
Common Causes and Solutions
1. Unique Barcode (EAN/GTIN)
StoreLinkr requires each product to have a unique identifier. Ensure the product has a valid and unique EAN/GTIN code. Products with duplicate or missing barcodes may be skipped during synchronization.
2. Active Export Filters
Check if you have any active export filters in the StoreLinkr portal that might be excluding this specific product. Filters can be based on category, brand, price, or custom attributes.
3. "Allowed" Status
Ensure the product is marked as Allowed for export in your StoreLinkr system. If a product is blocked or not approved, it will not be sent to Shopify.
4. Variant Synchronization
If the product is a variant of a parent product, ensure the entire variant group is correctly configured. Sometimes synchronizing the parent product manually can resolve issues with missing variants.
5. Category/Collection Assignment
Verify that the product is assigned to a valid category in StoreLinkr and that this category maps correctly to a Shopify Collection.
6. Valid Pricing
Shopify requires products to have a valid price. Ensure the product has a price greater than 0 (unless specifically configured otherwise) and that the currency matches your shop settings.
How to Debug the Sync
You can check exactly why a product might be failing to sync by using the logs in the StoreLinkr portal:
- Log in to the StoreLinkr Portal.
- Search for the specific product that is missing.
- Click Sync Now > Export in the top-right corner.
- Refresh the Logs section at the bottom of the page.
- Look for any error messages or warnings related to that product's EAN or SKU.
