How to configure stock settings

Stock settings allow you to control how StoreLinkr handles inventory updates, backorders, and product reactivation. You can also configure the ABC Classification logic used for purchasing advice.

Stock Behavior

Navigate to Settings > Stock to configure these global rules:

  • Stock Unarchive: If enabled, StoreLinkr will automatically "unarchive" and reactivate a product if it reappears in your source system with positive stock.
  • Allow Backorders: Enable this to allow products to be sold even when the stock level is zero. Note that this feature must also be supported by your sales channel (e.g., Shopify).

ABC Classification Settings

StoreLinkr uses ABC classification to prioritize your inventory management. You can fine-tune this logic:

  • Classification Period: Set the number of days (e.g., 120 days) of historical sales data the system should analyze to determine a product's class.
  • A-Class Percentage: The top percentage of your products (by revenue or volume) that should be treated as high-priority "A" items.
  • B-Class Percentage: The next tier of products that should be treated as "B" items.
tip

For more details on how this classification is used, see the Purchasing Advice guide.

Stock Sources

The Stock Sources table lists every integration connected to your project that is capable of providing inventory data. This is where you manage the Stock Enrichment process.

  • Allow Stock Import: Toggle this "Yes" to allow an integration to contribute to your product stock levels.
  • Aggregation: If multiple sources are set to "Yes", StoreLinkr will sum their quantities. For example, if Supplier A has 10 units and your local Warehouse has 5, StoreLinkr will export a total of 15 units.
  • Enrichment Logic: You can disable "Import Products" for a source but keep "Allow Stock Import" enabled. This allows you to use a source purely for inventory enrichment without importing new product descriptions or categories.
